Exciting Family Escape to Atlantic City

Friday our family is embarking on an exciting new adventure! We are taking our annual summer trip, but this time we're exploring some unfamiliar territories...Atlantic City, NJ! We typically travel to the White Mountains of New Hampshire to visit Story Land, shop at Settlers Green, and eat at our favorite spots, but this time we're trying something new!

I have been doing so much research and planning out the details of this trip, I thought it would be fun to share my findings with you all! I've sprinkled in some dining reservations and a few not to be missed spots, but left a huge chunk of time open to go where the wind takes us. All in all, that is my perfect kind of vacation...a bit of excitement and a mix of some chill!

Besides some killer beach days and strolls taking in the sights on the world's largest boardwalk, our big ticket item next week is visiting Six Flags Great Adventure with the entire crew! This is something my kids have wanted to do for years! I am a HUGE rollercoaster enthusiast, and they have some of the BEST there! Six Flags is about an hour from where we are staying directly on the beach in Atlantic City, but it's worth the ride!

We plan on visiting the Steel Pier Amusement Park which is within walking distance of where

we'll be staying. They have lots of rides, food, and games! Fridays, they offer unlimited ride wristbands for $45 I found out and Tuesdays & Thursdays they offer all rides for only 2 tickets (normally you'll need 5-6 per ride). Definitely look at their website for deals when you'll be visiting!

We have fun dinner reservations at the Sugar Factory. Yes, we have one here at the casino, but we do not get there with the whole crew...EVER, and I thought this would be something unique for us all to try. Besides, have you seen their crazy dishes?! Other places we plan to eat are the Rainforest Cafe, Margaritaville, and Gordon Ramsay's Pub & Grill along with whatever cool local spots we decide to stop at along our travels.

We will be playing some mini golf this trip, watching the beachfront fireworks, and possibly checking out Lucy the Elephant, the world's largest, walk-in elephant statue! If the little boys are good, we'll be checking out the huge IT'SSUGAR candy store! There's an indoor waterpark at Showboat called Island Waterpark and you can get discounted day passes on Groupon right now!! The waterpark at Six Flags is separate from the amusement park, so Hurricane Harbor may not be out of the question, either, since we have season passes this year.

I've made note of tons of other cool spots, things to do on a rainy day, happy hours, live music venues, and more! If you are thinking of visiting Atlantic City with or without kids, I'd be happy to help you plan a memorable visit! I will be sure to share my review of our trip after we get back!
